I don’t know if this is something we want to look into; Meebo seems to be working well for us in terms of IM reference, but this has been getting attention as well:

I’m a bit skeptical at this point of anything Google has designed “specifically for librarians”. Kind of wonder what’s in it for them and if there are problems, will they continue to work on something that doesn’t earn them money. But I’m willing to check it out and see what it’s all about.

Google didn’t develop Library H3lp. A librarian and her husband did. The code is available via code.google.com but it’s not a google product.
